Peter Solon, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who, throughout his career, has maintained one foot in the world of psychology and the other in spiritual practice.
 
Dr. Solon has lectured at the University of California Medical Center/San Francisco, the Wright Institute, East Bay Hospital and other institutions throughout the San Francisco bay area. His lectures address psychonalytic treatment with schizophrenic patients. Dr. Solon has performed formal research in this area.
 
He is a founder and former vice president of The Academy of Medical Psychology. He has held privileges at Ross Hospital in Kentfield, California and Saint Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco. For fifteen years, he maintained a neuropsychologic consulting practice for hospitals, psychiatrists and physicians throughout northern California.
 
 In 2002, he lived and practiced in Wat Pah Nanachat, a remote forest monastery in the Theravada Buddhist tradition (NE Thailand); and has been practicing Vipassana meditation for several decades. He studied Dzogchen with Tsoknyi Rinpoche.
 
 He has been a student of the Course since 1983. Currently, he teaches A Course In Miracles in Dharamsala, India.
